• The use of workbooks, CDs, books, and curriculum is used to aid the counseling process and educate you about marriage. Every couple is placed with a trained counseling couple from Denton Bible.
   
  
• There are eight sessions which include: a get-to-know each other session, Biblical basis for marriage, man's role, woman's role, communication, finances, in-laws and physical relationship after marriage. These sessions are bi-weekly and last approximately 1-1/2 hours. There is also a "married couple interview" session. This process usually takes three and one-half to four months to complete.
   
  
• Homework is required through the completion of a workbook and listening to a few tapes.
   
  
• If you remain in the area, a mentoring program with your counseling couple is highly recommended for your first year of marriage. This is a bit more relaxed and not as time consuming.
   
  
• The current cost of the counseling is $40.00 (per couple) which includes the workbook, curriculum book, budgeting info, family history analysis and CDs.
   
  
• Although there are many counseling couples, there is usually a waiting list of two-three months. The ministry works on a first come, first serve basis, so please get the process started early.
   
  

To get started in premarital counseling, simply follow these directions:
 
1. Submit an online application. The link is listed below these instructions.
 
2. After Dennis and Linda Sha receive your application, they will contact you to set up a time for your initial interview. (If you are not contacted within 3 days of submitting your application, please call Dennis and Linda Sha at 940-484-4899.)
 
3. At your meeting with Dennis Sha, he will provide you with your premarital materials and he will receive your $40 payment for the materials at that time. You will then be contacted by a counseling couple to begin your premarital counseling.
