FEES

We  offer a sliding scale to assist individuals and families in need of counseling.   Generally payment is made at the time of sessions.  We accept checks and cash only.   For individuals and families unable to pay the sliding scale fee at each session, we will work with them on establishing a payment plan.  No interest is charged in these cases.  If there are reasons a client cannot afford the sliding scale fee, they may request further assistance when they call for the first appointment. 

INSURANCE

We will file for insurance reimbursement only in the case of managed care plans on which the counselor is a provider.  The client must let us know initially if he or she is on a managed care plan for us to verify our network participation and verify that the client  has pre-certified sessions.

If the client  has a  traditional  insurance and would like to file, we will provide the client  a receipt with the necessary information.

FREQUENCY AND LENGTH OF SESSIONS

Clients are generally seen on a weekly basis for 50 minute sessions.  In certain cases extended sessions or more frequent session are needed to resolve the counseling issues. 

CANCELLATIONS

We expect a 24 hour notice to cancel a session; otherwise the client may be charged for that session.  We understand there can be emergencies that will prevent clients from giving a 24 hour notice.  In these cases, as determined by the counselor, the client will not be required to pay for the session.
